First Reading: James 3, 16 - 4: 3 (English):
St. James explains that envy and selfish ambition leads to disorder.
The disputes and conflicts come from within us because we ask
wrongly for the things that we want.
Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 15:19 - 34 (Lebanese):
In this reading, St. shows us that the resurrection of the dead
is the hope that keeps us from doing evil. Jesus was the first
one to live after death, then we will follow him.
Gospel: Matthew , 24: 23 - 31 (English &
Lebanese):
In this Gospel reading, Jesus explains to his disciples that
many false prophets will perform great signs to deceive them.
The coming of the Son of man will be seen after many strong signs.

Dedication
Father, I dedicate this new day to you; as I go about my work,
I ask you to bless those with whom I come in contact . Lord,
I pray for all men and women who work to earn their living; give
them satisfaction in what they do. Spirit of God, comfort the
unemployed and their families; they are your children and my
brothers and sisters. I ask you to help them find work and hope.

St. Michael & St. Gabriel
(September 29)
Holy Scripture speaks of angels as ministers of God in human
affairs. St. Michael defends the honor of God against Satan.
St. Gabriel announced to Mary the coming of Jesus. St. Raphael
guided Tobias on his journey and brought healing to Tobit, his
blind father. As servants of God, the angels are instruments
of God's hidden providence. They preserve us from harm, give
God's wisdom and strength to humanity, and accompany us on our
journey through life.
