CONSECRATION OF THE CHURCH

First Reading: Hebrews 9: 24 - 28 (English):
In this reading, St. Paul explains that Jesus did not enter a human made sanctuary. He entered heaven to appear before God on our behalf.

Second Reading: Hebrews 9:1 - 10 (Lebanese):
In this reading, St. Paul talks about the sanctuary and the order in which the sacrifices were offered to God for the sins.

Gospel: Matthew , 16: 13 - 20 (English & Lebanese):
In this Gospel reading, Jesus asks his disciples about the Son of man. He blessed Peter who revealed that Jesus was the Messiah, the Son of the Living God.

Parent-Teachers Interviews on Thursday, November 16th, 2000, 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Cardinal Carter Catholic Secondary School Gymnasium. Report Cards will be distributed on November 15, 2000. Hope to see you there.

Diocese of London Chancery Office invites applications for the position of: Accounting Assistant. Responsibilities: provide accounting support to the Diocesan accountant, members of the Diocesan leadership and parish staff. This is a permanent full time position. Qualifications: Several years experience in an office setting, level 2 GGA or equivalent, advanced computer literacy and excellent organizational and communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Diocesan structures and procedures. Christmas Parade: On November 18, the Christmas Parade will take place in the Town of Leamington . Everyone is welcome.

Best Pencil Painting: Paint the outside of St. Anthony's Church using a pencil and win $50.00 for the best pencil painting. Good luck to all.

History Books: For the 15th Year Anniversary of St. Anthony's Parish, we are planning on doing a history book about our Church. If you have information or pictures about the Church, please contact Mr. Tom Georges at 326-8488 or Mr. Louie Jraige at 326-1464.

Our deepest sympathy to the Raffoul family on the loss of Rachid Raffoul who passed away in Windsor on Friday, October 27, 2000 at the age of 98. A Funeral Mass was held in St. Sharbel's Parish on Monday, October 30, 2000 at 10:00AM. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to all his relatives in Windsor and Leamington. May God rest his soul in peace and grant consolation for his family and relatives.

Our heartfelt sympathies go out to the Khalil Family on the loss of Youssef Sarkis Khalil who passed away in Lebanon on Monday, November 6th, 2000 at the age of 90. A Memorial Mass was held in St. Anthony's Parish on Sunday, November 12, 2000. May God rest his soul in peace and grant consolation for his children and their families and all his relatives in Canada, Venezuela and Lebanon.

The Real Men in Black: Have you considered the Catholic Priesthood? St. Peter Seminary is hosting a Come & See Weekend on November 24 - 26, 2000. This Weekend begins with registration 7:00 - 7:30PM on the Friday evening. The cost is $20.00. To register or to get further information, please contact Fr. Three years have gone by since the first day I started my mission in this Parish. So many projects and dreams came true thanks to our Lord and your generosity and great support. I am really proud of the co-operation that joined us to help this Parish grow in faith, in love and in prosperity.
