First Reading: 1 John 3:1 - 2 (English):
We are children of God. By his fatherly love, we are revealed
as his own. We are his image.
Second Reading: Colossians 3:1 - 17 (Lebanese):
St. Paul explains that if we are resurrected with Jesus, we should
ask for heavenly things, the things from above, where Jesus is
seated at the right hand of God, the Father. He also asks us
to kill the sin within ourselves so we can be an image of God.
Gospel: John, 21: 15 - 19 (English & Lebanese):
In this Gospel Reading, we see Jesus asking Peter to follow him.
He wants Peter to show his love for him by taking care of the
Lord's Sheep.

The Serenity Prayer
O God, grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot
change, the courage to change things I can, and the wisdom to
know the difference. Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment
at a time. Accepting hardships as the pathways to peace. Taking,
as he did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it.
Trusting that he will make all the things right if I surrender
to his will ;that I may be reasonably happy in this life, and
supremely happy with him forever. |
