First Reading: Corinthians 7: 17 -32
- 35(English):
St. Paul explains that the life we lead is the life that God
had assigned for us. He also shows us that how earthly affairs
can take us away from a complete devotion to God.
Second Reading: 2 Corinthians 9:1-15 (lebanese):
St. Paul is proud of our readiness. He wants us to know that
God gives so generously to those who are patient.
Gospel: John 6:1-15 (English & Lebanese):
In this Gospel reading, we see Jesus once again followed by thousands
of people. This time he lets his work testify for him by the
multiplication of the loaves and fish.

Prayer for a sick person
Lord Jesus, lover of the sick, be with all the sick people in
their sickness. Help them to accept their illness as a sharer
in your Cross, and bring them back to full health. Lord Jesus
, we praise you, for you are Lord for ever and ever.
Prayer for the Great Jubilee
Father in heaven,
through your Son, Jesus Christ, you have given us a new vision
of your merciful love in his call to repentance and faith in
the good news.
Hear the prayers of your holy people, and grant that in our common
journey to your house we may reflect your love in choosing the
values of the Gospel and in serving others, until we come to
our fulfillment in Christ, who lives and reigns for ever and
ever.
Amen. |
