January, 23, 2000 Third Week after Epiphany First Reading: 1 Corinthians 7: 29 -31 (English):
In this reading, St. Paul wants us to know that the appointed time has grown short. He asks us to come closer to the Father because the present form of this world is passing away.
Second Reading: 2 Corinthians 4:1-15 (lebanese):
St. Paul explains that the Gospel is unknown only to those who live in sins. We talk about what we see because the Lord reveals himself to those who are close to him.Gospel: John 5:31-47 (English & Lebanese):
In this Gospel reading, Jesus wants the Pharisees to know that if his testimony on his own behalf is not verified,there is another who testifies on his behalf.

Marriage Preparation Courses: All the couples who are planning on getting married in our Parish this coming year must register for one of the courses at St. Michael's Parish (Winter) or at St. John de Brebeuf Parish in Kingsville (Spring).

Our deepest sympathy to all the relatives of Rachid Khalil in Windsor and Leamington, who passed away in Lebanon at the age of 39. A Memorial Mass was held on Sunday, January 16th, 2000 at St. Charbel's Church in Windsor. May God rest his soul in peace and grant consolation for his family and relatives.
Our heartfelt sympathies to the Raffoul Family on the loss of their father Chahid Raffoul who passed away in Venezuela at the age of 89.
