THE ANNOUNCEMENT TO JOSEPH First Reading: Romans 16: 25 - 27 (English):
In this reading, St. Paul explains that God made us his apostles by giving us his Son who was descended from David according to the flesh. We are flesh, therefore we are called to be saints. We belong to Jesus Christ who gave us grace and apostleship.Second Reading: Ephesians, 3 :1 - 13 (Lebanese):
St. Paul wants us to know that he was given the grace of knowing the Holy Secret by the grace of the Holy Spirit who sent him to preach about Jesus.Gospel: Matthew, 1: 18 - 25 (English & Lebanese):
In this Gospel reading, Joseph discovered the Mary was with child before they lived together. He intended to divorce her quietly when the angel appeared to him in a dream and assured him that the Child was conceived by the power of the Holy spirit.Last Week's Collection

New Year's Eve Party: Ring in the New Year with a bang at the Leamington Lebanese Club on Sunday, December 31st, 2000 featuring: Jody Raffoul, Atef Amine and Paula Aoun. Our deepest sympathy to the Khalife Family on the loss of Rangi Khalife who passed away in Barhalioun, North Lebanon, on Thursday, December 14, 2000 at the age of 80. A memorial Mass was held in St. Anthony's Parish on Saturday, December 16, 2000 at 3:00PM. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to her children Abdallah Khalifie and Denise Najem and their families in Leamington. May God rest her soul in peace and grant consolation for ther family and relatives in Leamington and Lebanon.

Prayer for Christ's coming in Grace
O Lord Jesus, during this Advent come to us in your grace. Come to prepare our hearts, minds, and bodies to welcome you on Christmas Day. Come to comfort us in sadness, to cheer us in loneliness, to refresh us in weariness, to strengthen us in temptations, to lead us in time of doubt, and to exult with us in joy. Lamb of God, you once came to save what was lost, come once and again and cleanse me of every stain of sin.
