First Reading: Ephesians 5,15 --20 (English):
In this reading, St. Paul asks us to live our lives wisely. He
also explains that we should praise the Lord giving him thanks
in our hearts doing his will.
Second Reading: Ephesians 2: 17 - 22 (Lebanese):
St. Paul wants us to know that by the coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ, we became the Children of God. The Spirit gave us one
Father so we will not be strangers any longer.
Gospel: Luke , 4: 14 - 21 (English & Lebanese):
In this Gospel Reading, we experience the beginning of Jesus'

The Queenship of Mary
August 22nd
Following the Feast of Mary's Assumption into heaven on August
15, the Feast of her Queenship celebrates her place among the
angels and Saints as the Queen of heaven and earth.
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life,
Our sweetness, and our hope. To you do we cry, poor banished
children of Eve.
To you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this
vale of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of
mercy toward us, and after this our exile show us the Blessed
Fruit of your womb, Jesus , O Clement, O Loving, O Sweet Virgin
Mary.
Morning Offering
Lord Jesus,
I give you my hands to do your work.
I give you my feet to go your way.
I give you my eyes to see as you do.
I give you my tongue to speak your words.
I give you my mind that you may think in me.
I give you my spirit that you may pray in me.
Above all, I give you my heart that you may love in me the Father
and all humanity. I give you my whole self that you may grow
in me,
So that is you, Lord Jesus, who live and work and pray in me. |
