Third Sunday of the Pentecost Season St. Rafca’s Feast
Gospel: John 14: 21 – 27
Readings: 1 Corinthians 2: 1 – 10 The coming of the Spirit upon the disciples, the apostles, the preachers and the early Church, has reached the Church everywhere even our present time.
St. Paul didn’t care about the eloquence of his words or the appearance of the universal Church. His main concern was Jesus the Crucified.
He experienced the presence of the Spirit and his gifts in his life, his preaching and the lives and hearts of all faithful.
Whoever lives by the word of God, will receive Jesus in their hearts. Jesus will teach them and reminds them about his teachings. He will make them gradually understand their special experience.
The divine inspiration is unique. It comes from the Father and was realized by the crucifixion of Jesus the Son and his resurrection. A person is not a Christian if he is arrogant and full of hatred.

Peace & Prayer Walk: Holy Family Chaldean Church in Windsor is having a walk for peace and prayer, today, Sunday June 10th, starting at 1:30PM from the Church located at: 686 Marentette Ave., Windsor. Everyone is welcome to participate in the walk and to pray for peace in Iraq and the Middle East.
Congratulations to Michael Badour who received the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation in St. Anthony’s Parish on Sunday, June 3rd, 2007. May God bless him with his family.

Our deepest sympathies to the Maroun & Zakaria Family for the loss of George El Khoury Maroun who passed away in Lebanon at the age of 93. The Memorial Mass for the rest of his soul is held today, Sunday June 10th, 2007 at St. Peter’s Maronite Church in Windsor. May God rest his soul in peace and grant consolation for his family and relatives.
