Prayer
We pray, Lord that you be
our helper and protector. Deliver those of us in distress; raise up
the fallen, turn your face to the needy. Heal the sick, bring back
the erring, feed the hungry, and ransom our prisoners. Help he weak
to their feet, comfort the faint-hearted. Let all nations know you
are God alone, and Jesus Christ is your Son. Alone with none but
thee, my God I journey on my way: what need I fear, when thou art
near. May we come not troubled by fear, not clinging to this world,
but drawn to our life in heaven, blessed and everlasting in Jesus
Christ. Amen.
ST.
Gregory Nazianzen.
Blessing Prayer
Bless, O Lord, almighty God,
this home so that in it there may be health, chastity, victorious
strength, humility, goodness and mildness, obedience to God’s laws,
and acts of thanks to God the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, and
may this blessing remain upon this house, and upon all who dwell in
it. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
