20, 2005 at 1:30PM. We can park in the SECC Parking Lot and at
Meadow Brook Fellowship.
All are welcome.
Prayer before
a Crucifix
Behold, O kind and most sweet Jesus, I
cast myself upon my knees in Your sight, and with the most fervent
desire of my soul I pray and beseech You that You would impress
upon my heart lively sentiments of faith, hope and charity, true
repentance for my sins and a firm purpose of amendment, while
with deep affection and grief of soul I ponder within myself
and mentally contemplate Your five precious wounds, having before
my eyes that which David spoke in prophecy of You, O Good Jesus:
"They have pierced my hands and feet, they have numbered
all my bones."
The Annunciation
of Mary, March 25
One of the "Christmas Feasts"
celebrate outside the Christmas season, the feast of the Annunciation
recalls the coming of the Angel Gabriel to Mary at Nazareth to
announce that she was to be the Mother of Jesus. The feast of
the Annunciation is an ancient feast of the Church. March 25,
the time of the spring Equinox, was seen as a significant day
by the early Christians who regarded it as the day the world
was created, the day of Christ's conception in Mary's womb, and
the day of his death on the Cross.
God our Father,
Your Word became man and was born of the Virgin Mary.
