Sunday of the Wedding at Cana, The opening of the Lent Season
Do whatever He tells you.
(John 2:10)
Gospel: John, 2: 1 12
Readings: Romans, 14: 13 23 This Sunday we are before the most holy of sacraments. The Holy Spirit came upon the water and it was transformed into wine, just like during the Mass: Wine into Blood, Bread into the Body of Christ.
We are invited to be transformed and be born anew in order to become the children of the Kingdom which isnt food and drink but righteousness, peace and rejoicing in the Holy Spirit.
The Kingdom of God is being far away from division, it is being able to settle our matters nicely, be brothers in Jesus Christ, and be one body in Christ.
We should not harm or judge one another. Just as Jesus word blessed the water transforming it into wine, here at the Last Supper the grace of Jesus blessed love and marriage. Christ is our guarantee for our resurrection at the end of times.
The Baptism transformed us to a new creation born of water and Spirit. Jesus sign today is a gradual inspiration which works in our lives through fasting, desisting and praying. Fasting is the wedding of the faithful and desisting is his festive table.

If you worry, you didn't pray.
If you pray, don't worry.
As a child of God, prayer is kind of like calling home every day.
Coincidence is when God chooses to remain anonymous.
Jesus blessed the Sacrament of Marriage in Cana of Galilee. We pray for the married couples and for those who seek marriage in the Catholic Church.
Lord God, from you every family in Heaven and on earth takes its name. Father, you are love and life.Through your Son, Jesus Christ, born of woman, and through the Holy Spirit, fountain of divine Charity, grant that each family on earth may become for each successive generation a true shrine of life and love.
Grant that your grace may guide the thoughts and actions of husbands and wives for the good of their families and of all the families in the world. Through the intercession of the Holy Family of Nazareth, grant that the Church may fruitfully carry out her worldwide mission in the family and through the family. Amen.
Prayer of His All Holiness for World Day of the Sick.O Mary, Immaculate Virgin, Woman of suffering and hope, be kind to every suffering person, obtain fullness of life for each one. Turn your maternal gaze especially upon those who are in extreme need, struck down by mortal illness.
Look upon the mothers who are mourning their children; look upon the grandparents who lack the resources to support their orphaned grandchildren. Embrace them all, keep them close to your heart. Our Lady of Lourdes, Queen of the whole world, Virgin Most Holy, pray for us!
Prayer to keep a true LentIs this a fast, to keep the larder lean clean from fat of veal or sheep?
Is it to quit the dish of flesh, yet still to fill the platter high with fish?
Is it to fast an hour, or ragged to go, or show a downcast look and sour?No this is a fast to dole thy sheaf of wheat and meat unto the hungry soul.
To show a heart grief rent; to starve they sin, not bin, and that's to keep they Lent.
