St. Michael, Archangel,
November 8th
Holy Scripture speaks of angels as ministers
of God in human affairs. St. Michael defends the honor of God
against Satan. St. Gabriel announced to Mary the coming of Jesus.
St. Raphael guided Tobias on his journey
and brought healing to Tobit, his blind father. As servants of
God, the angels are instruments of God's wisdom and strength
to humanity, and accompany us on our journey through life.
We thank you, Lord, with all our hearts;
in the presence of your angels we bless you.
Prayer to St. Michael for
personal protection
Saint Michael, the Archangel! Glorious
Prince, chief and champion of the heavenly hosts, conqueror of
the rebel angels! Obtain for us from God a share of thy sturdy
courage; pray that we may have a strong and tender love for our
redeemer and, in every danger of temptation, be invincible against
the enemy of our souls. St. Michael, be with us in our last moments.
Amen.
