Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost Ask, and it will be given you. Search, and you will find, knock, and the door will be opened for you. (Luke 11:8)
Gospel: Luke 11: 9 13
Readings: Ephesians 4: 1 16 Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find, knock, and the door will be opened for you. Why? Because the Father is standing at the door with an open hand full of graces.
This indicates that all that the faithful asks will be given to him with no questions asked. We notice sometimes that we ask and we ask ardently for a grace, but we dont receive it.
The traditional answer is: we are asking for what is bad for us or not beneficial for us. This is true but there is another explanation:
God cant give us what we ask for because it doesnt match the Fathers nature so He cant give it to us. Basically, Gods relationship with the faithful is a loving one. He doesnt give us a scorpion or a stone. He is a Father.
The nature of God invites us to rectify the incorrect image of Him. The Holy Spirit will help us understand the truth about the Father.
When we ask for the Spirits help we will receive it. The Fathers nature invites us to correct the false image we inherited about God: God punished him or Its Gods revenge. This God is not the Father that was unveiled by Jesus Christ.
The best gift we receive is the Holy Spirit, which will help us understand God the Father.

The Queenship of Mary, August 22 Following the Feat of Marys Assumption into heaven on August 15, the feast of her Queenship celebrates her place among the angels and saints as the Queen of heaven and earth.
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of mercy,
Our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve.To you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile show us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Prayer to St. Francis de SalesGo courageously to do whatever you are called to do. Go simply. If you have any fears, say to your soul: The Lord will provide for us. If your weakness troubles you, cast yourselves on God, and trust in him.
The apostles were mostly unlearned fishermen, but God gave them learning enough for the work they had to do.
Trust in him, depend on his providence; FEAR NOTHING!
St. Francis de Sales
