Easter Sunday
I know you are looking for Jesus who was crucified, but he is not here.
(Matthew, 28:5)
Gospel: Matthew 28: 1 10
Readings: 1 Corinthians 15:12 26 The angel is a sign of Gods intervention. He rolled back the stone. His appearance was like lightning which brightens and hits. He hit the guards who became almost dead. He enlightened Mary Magdalene and the other Mary.
He unveiled to them the news about Resurrection and sent them to proclaim it. Jesus Resurrection is an incident from the past but its effects are present in our world today. It is given to all people.
Those who dont believe see nothing in it but stupidity. They become dead before it. For us, it is a sign of trust in the Lord who doesnt leave those who fear him mystified or perplexed.
Before experiencing the Resurrection, the two women went to the tomb. The angel appeared to them saying: I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here. They went to the place where Jesus was buried after being crucified.
They considered the word of the Cross as final. The divine intervention transformed them. They conquered their fear and rean to share the good news with the others.

Resurrection PrayerO Lord Jesus Christ, You are the true God. You are the light of the world. You are our Lord and our God.
You were nailed to the Cross, and through Your pierced side, we have all been healed. You descended into Hades, and shattered its bonds.
You raised those who were long dead, granting life to them.
You embittered Hades.
You were raised from the dead in order to grant salvation to all; to scatter your enemies; and for those who hate You, to fell from before Your face.
You were raised in order to raise with Yourself the whole world, each and everyone. Amen.
