Palm Sunday
Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the Highest.
(John, 12: 25)
Gospel: John 12: 12 12
Readings: Philippians 1:1 11 Everyone tried to show the royal side of Jesus coming to Jerusalem. The saving incidents that Jesus chose to suffer for all humanity take over this celebration. Even the royal manner that Jesus entered Jerusalem in was far too humble.
It did not eclipse the light that He wants to make known. He chose a young donkey. This gave the triumphal entry into Jerusalem a sense of meekness which was not understood by the disciples at first.
They remembered that after Jesus was glorified. Two thousand years later, the coming to Jerusalem is a bit clearer to us than the disciples. Jesus died to save us. Gods Son suffered the humiliation from the human to raise them to the level of children. Do not be afraid, daughter of Zion, look your King is coming.
The invitation Do not be afraid is the sign of the New Covenant. It is an invitation to have an inner peace in order for the human being to meet himself and be open to meet God.

Prayer before a CrucifixBehold, O kind and most sweet Jesus, I cast myself upon my knees in Your sight, and with the most fervent desire of my soul I pray and beseech You that You would impress upon my heart lively sentiments of faith, hope and charity, true repentance for my sins and a firm purpose of amendment, while with deep affection and grief of soul I ponder within myself and mentally contemplate.
Your five most precious wounds, having before my eyes that which David spoke in prophecy of You, O Good Jesus: They have pierced my hands and feet, they have numbered all my bones.
