Sunday of the Paralyzed Man Readings: 1 Timothy, 5:24, 6:5
Gospel: Mark,2: 1-12 (English & Lebanese)
God is the one who could grant us good health. He reminds us today about healing the paralyzed man. He is the Lord of salvation. Through him the healing of the body and soul are granted.
By attaching good deeds to our faith, the truth unveiled. St. Paul asks us to stay away from the envy, dissension, slander, and base suspicions, because it plants sin. The march of faith invites us today to confess that Jesus fulfills our desires, ease our falls and when we go to him with our problems, he gives us abundantly. We are all in one family, the family of God. We are children of God.
Today's healing unveils the truth about Jesus, the Son of God, his Word and image. Jesus loves us like the Father loves us. We are his followers. In the Middle East our land, our history and our people live. There, we have to move forward with our testimony. It is unacceptable to be Maronite on our birth certificate only, or to sell our homeland. In Lebanon, the land of inspiration and beauty, we ought to continue our true testimony in Jesus. Our ancestors were poor in material things but incredibly rich in God.

Prayer to keep a true LentIs this a fast, to keep the larder lean from fat of veal and sheep?
Is it to quit the dish of flesh, yet still to fill the platter high with fish?
Is it to fast an hour, or ragged to go, or show a down-cast look and sour?
No this is a Fast to dole thy sheaf of wheat and meat into the hungry soul.
To show a heart grief rent; to starve thy sin, not bin; and that's to keep thy Lent.Top of Page
