Sunday of the Prodigal Son

Readings: 2 Corinthians, 13:5-12

Gospel: Luke,15: 11-32 (English & Lebanese):

In the Gospel of the Man with leprosy, St. Paul unveils for us the ugliness of the sin, and in the Gospel of the Hemorrhaging woman, he invited us to repent, and he is asking us in today's Gospel to examine our consciences and reprimand ourselves to grow in faith. We will always be the children of God, no matter how much we sin or stray away, and this happens often. We have to respond to the call of the Spirit and his inspirations.

The road to heaven starts with being humble, admitting our wrongdoings and our human weakness; by doing so, we return to the Father the same way as the Prodigal Son, and only then we will be given the freedom of God's children. We have to stop the evil from working in our souls. We have to stop walking on the road of sins or we will end up losing our true Christian identity.

We are asked to live what we preach. In the battle of good and evil, we, as Christians, should always take the side of the goof like the saints, so the power of Jesus will shine through us. We fix the damage by building what was demolished before God and people. Let the Spirit work in us to be united in one opinion because we all are parts of the secret body of Christ.

The Annunciation
March 25th

One of the "Christmas Feasts" celebrated outside of the Christmas Season, the feast of the Annunciation recalls the coming of the Angel Gabriel to Mary at Nazareth to announce that she was to be the mother of Jesus. The Feast of the Annunciation is an ancient feast of the Church. March 25, the time of the spring equinox, was seen as a significant day by the early Christians who regarded it as the day the world was created, the day of Christ's conception in Mary's womb, and the day of his death on the Cross.
God our Father, Your Word became man and was born of the Virgin Mary.
