Sunday of the Wedding at Cana Readings: Romans, 14:13-23
Gospel: John, 2: 1-12 (English & Lebanese)
This Sunday we are before the most holy of sacraments. The Holy Spirit came upon the water and it was transformed into wine, just like during the Mass: Wine into Blood, Bread into the Body of Christ. We are invited to be transformed and be born anew in order to become the children of the Kingdom which isn't food and drink but righteousness, peace and rejoicing in the Holy Spirit.
The kingdom of God is being far away from division, it is being able to settle our matters nicely, be brothers in Jesus Christ, be one body in Christ. We should not harm or judge one another. Jus as Jesus' word blessed the water transforming it into wine, here on the Last Supper the grace of Jesus blessed the marriage and love. Christ is our guarantee for our resurrection at the end of times.
The Baptism transformed us to a new creation born of water and Spirit. Jesus' sign today is a gradual inspiration which works in our lives through fasting, desisting and praying. Fasting is the wedding of the faithful, desisting is his festive table.

Leamington Ministerial Association invites all the Christians to pray for each other. This week we pray for Leamington United Church Ash Monday: On Monday March 3rd, we celebrate Ash Monday. The Mass will be celebrated at 9:00AM & 6:00PM to give a chance for everyone to participate. All are welcome. We would like to thank Rev. Fathers Bakhos & Joseph Tannous for all their help during the time they had with us in St. Anthony's Parish. We also ask the Lord to bless and keep them safe on their trip back to Lebanon. We would like to welcome all the visitors to our Parish. May God bless you.
In order to be in conformity with the Maronite Church in the world, and to follow the Ecclesiastical Authority, the Our Father and Hail Mary will be omitted from the Mass before the Words of Consecration. Thank you for your consideration of this matter.
St. Joseph's Prayers: March is the month consecrated for prayers to St. Joseph. We pray together for the Patron Saint of the family every evening at 5:45PM. All are welcome.
Stations of the Cross: During Lent Season the Stations of the Cross will take place every Friday evening at 6:30P. All are welcome.
Easter Play: All children interested in participating in the Easter Play, please register your names on the sheet provided at the Church entrance. Mrs. Barbara Gaspard will be responsible for the play.
Trip to Wheels Inn: all the altar servers and their friends will enjoy a fun day at the Wheels Inn in Chatham on Monday, March 10, 2003. If interested, please register your names on the sheet provided at the Church entrance. Parents are asked to sign a parental consent in order for their children to participate in this event. More details to follow.
French & English Tutor: Does your child need tutoring in French or English? If so and your child is in Kindergarten to Grade 5, please contact Theresa Gebriel at 326-0571. Reasonable rates for everyone. Thank you.
First Communion Meetings: First Communion Meetings will take place on Friday March 7th, 2003 from 6:30 to 8:00PM, with Mrs. Ghada Kantati and Mrs. Jihane Mouawad. Please do not forget your books. Thank you.
Marriage Preparation: The next Marriage Preparation weekend will be held April 4 & 5th, 2003 at St. Michael's Church. All couples planning marriage in the upcoming year should fill out a registration form available at St. Michael's Church or from the office.
Congratulations to Charbel S. Nohra who received the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation on Sunday, February 23rd, 2003 in St. Anthony's Parish. May God bless him and give him a long and happy life with his family.
World Day of Prayer, Lebanon 2003: St. Paul's Lutheran Church is hosting this Year's "World Day of Prayer" Service on Friday March 7th, 2003 at 2:00PM. This Year's program is titled "Holy Spirit: Fill us", written by the women of Lebanon. It is very important for us to participate in this event to affirm our faith in Jesus Christ to share our hopes and fears. Through World Day of Prayers people are aware of the whole world and no longer live in isolation, to be enriched by the faith experience of Christians of other countries and cultures and to take up the burdens of other people and pray with and for them.
Our deepest sympathies to the Eid Family on the loss of Youssef Eid who passed away in Lebanon on Saturday February 22, 2003 at the age of 75. A Memorial Mass was held in St. Anthony's Parish for the rest of his soul on Wednesday February 26, 2003. May God rest his soul in peace and grant consolation for his family and relatives in Canada, Lebanon and Australia.
