Easter Sunday Readings: 1 Corinthians , 15: 12 - 26
Gospel: Matthew,28: 1-26 (English & Lebanese)
The conclusion of the Holy Week is the Resurrection. Jesus is risen, and His Resurrection is the subject of our faith. St. Paul declared in his first letter to the Corinthians: "If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied." Before death, we have to believe that we are children of the Resurrection, that we are children of the Resurrection, that we are invited to carry the hope of Resurrection to our community.
We ought to be strong; we have to conquer not by our strength but by the power of the One who was victorious over death destroying the gates of hell. Today, the salvation is shining, life triumphs, and the Church is risen with the presence of those from afar and nearby. Jesus, who became a sin and damnation for us when He was crucified, destroyed our disobedience by His obedience. He conquered our rebelliousness and sin by His love. Jesus was victorious over death by dying. He made the arrogance disappear and the earth reconcile with heaven. Death became a life of grace for all faithful.

Let us be a true image of Jesus the Lord of love and peace. Let us bring our hearts to the fountain, the way, the truth and the life. Happy Easter.Father Elie Zouein, P. P.

Resurrection PrayersO Lord Jesus Christ, You are the true God. You are the light of the world. You are our Lord and our God. You were nailed to the Cross, and through Your pierced side, we have all been healed. You descended into Hades, and shattered its bonds. You raised those who were long dead, granting life to them.
You embittered Hades. You were raised from the dead in order to grant salvation to all; to scatter Your enemies; and for those who hate You, to flee from before Your face. You were raised in order to raise with Yourself the whole world, each and everyone.
Amen.
