- Gospel: John 14:15-20 (English & Lebanese):
Pentecost is the feast of harvest, the feast of new life offered
to God. The Old Covenant accepted the pact with the Lord where
he was freed. The Pentecost is a deed of God. Mankind is no longer
a slave to death instead he was given a new life inspired by
the Holy Spirit and the image of Christ who started his mission
by being baptized in the Jordan Sea and ended by sending the
Spirit to the disciples. We are all disciples and responsible
to the mission. No disciple of Christ could forget that he is
invited to the Cross first and the mission second. The new people
coming from every nation under heaven is God's people and the
many languages they spoke, broke the obstacles between mankind.
It is the meeting of all mankind where they use the language
of divine love. The Spirit coming on Pentecost becomes peace
and joy promised to the people. Using this weapon the Church
invaded the Roman society. We, today, are the heirs of Abraham
the faithful. We accepted in our lives God's gift that preserves
us until eternity. That gift is the Holy Spirit.

Our deepest sympathies to the Gaspard and Parent Families
on the loss of Marcia Gaspard Parent who passed away in Wheatley
on Friday, May 10, 2002 at the age of 100. The Funeral Mass was
held in ST. Michael's Parish on Saturday May 11, 2002. May God
rest her soul in peace and grant consolation for her family and
relatives.

on the loss of Toufic Antonios Chakour who passed away in
Lebanon. A Memorial Mass will be held in St. Anthony's Parish
