- Readings: 1 Corinthians 15:12-26
-
- Gospel: Matthew, 28: 1-10 (English
& Lebanese):
Today's Resurrection is a proof of Jesus' birth. His Resurrection
as witnessed by the apostles and the saints is our life's proof
because we are witnesses for his resurrection, as saint Paul
said in today's reading: "If Christ has not been raised,
then our proclamation has been in vain and your faith has been
in vain. Jesus' Resurrection is the Good News for the New Covenant.
-
- It is not a historic event. This Resurrection has eternity's
color because the One resurrected dusted the dust of death off
himself. He left the tomb empty and the guards frightened; the
apostles and Mary joyful; the faithful across the ages satisfied
and happy to be saved. We believe in the Resurrection, so we
are witnesses and apostles of Jesus.
-
- The Resurrection is a true peace feast, so the worry and
the emotional turmoil, the wars and fright of death and destiny
is meaningless because by the victory of Jesus on his Cross and
in our hearts, he triumphed over evil and the earth. He is the
proof of our inner peace. Let us greet each other saying: "Christ
is risen. He is risen indeed."

Prayer
Be deaf to anyone who does not speak of Jesus Christ.
He was descended from David,
Truly he was born of Mary. He ate and drank.
Truly he was tried by Pontius Pilate. He was crucified.
He was raised from the dead, truly his Father wakened him.
And his Father will raise us, too, who believe in him in Jesus;
Truly we have no live except in Jesus Christ.
"St. Ignatius."
