Readings: 2 Corinthians 10:1-17
Gospel: Mark, 10: 46-52 (English & Lebanese):
Jesus is the light of the world, the light of life; Jesus
is guidance to the hearts. Whoever follows him doesn't walk in
the darkness. He came to the world to guide and set free every
human being and return to him his human value. One does not live
by bread alone, but by every word that comes from God's mouth.
The blind man's words on the side of the road "Son of David,
have mercy on me" is the cry of the Church everywhere. Before
we enter into Jerusalem with Jesus with the palms, the Church
invites us to greet the Cross in our faith life so we could enter
with him into the passion, death and resurrection.
ST. Paul teaches us to ask for our salvation and to do according
to our Christian Mission without ceasing, with enthusiasm and
perseverance and most of all with the faith of the blind man.
Our weapon is the power of God that demolishes strong obstacles.
We are invited to walk behind Jesus, asking him for strength,
so we could witness the Christian hope forgetting all difficulties
and doubts. The Lord's voice invite us to open our hearts like
the blind man, that way we will see the light and become lights
ourselves in our families, societies, Church and the whole world.
