Readings: 1 Timothy, 5:24, 6:5
Gospel: Mark, 2: 1-12 (English & Lebanese):
We see Jesus today, in the midst of the amazed Pharisees saying
to the Paralytic carried in by four people: "Son, your sins
are forgiven, stand up and take your mat and walk." We also
hear St. Paul inviting us to be righteous, to glorify God, and
build up the brothers and sisters. St. Paul also states that
our deeds, good or bad, won't be hidden from God who healed the
paralytic from his slavery to sins. Today's civilization caused
us to be divided at home, at work in and outside of the Church.
We all fell in debts, anxiety, and disturbance. We have to seek
refuge in Jesus who is able to rescue us from our spiritual and
physical illnesses by his resurrection. We are invited to open
our hearts to those less fortunate; let us preach the good news
about Jesus and his coming without a complaint. Let us love God
and live peacefully with ourselves and our neighbor carrying
in our hearts the handicapped and the sick. Let us pray that
sick and handicapped people everywhere find Christians who love
and help them holding them close to their hearts. This way they
all be close to God and live happily. Our faith journey today,
is based on confessing that Jesus Christ will fulfill the graces
we ask for. Let us give everyone a reason to love and glorify
God.

Prayer
I arise today,
Through God's strength to pilot me,
God's might to uphold me,
God's wisdom to guide me,
God's eye to look before me,
God's ear to hear me,
God's word to speak for me,
God's hand to guard me,
God's way to lie before me,
God's shield to protect me,
God's host to save me from snare of devils,
From temptations of vices, from every one who shall wish me ill,
Afar and anear, alone an in a multitude. "St. Patrick." |
