Readings: 2 Corinthians, 13:5-12
Gospel: Luke, 15: 1-32 (English & Lebanese):
During Lent Season, we feel the repentance in our heart. We
go back to the Father for reconciliation. God is our loving Father;
he feels the happiness when we repent more than he feels anger
when we hurt him with our sins. Jesus gave the generations the
parable of the Prodigal Son who took his share from the property
and squandered it in dissolute living.
When he had spent everything, he had to hire himself to one
of the citizens. He filled himself with the pods that the pigs
were eating. His father was waiting for his return with heartache.
He was missing him terribly. The son was feeling very sorry and
he decided to go back to his father's. He thought to himself:
"I am starving here and my father's slaves have bread enough
and to spare."
He returned to his father with tears of repentance. He kneeled
before him saying: "Father, I have sinned against heaven
and before you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son;
treat me like one of your slaves." His father was filled
with compassion; he put his arms around him asking the slaves
to bring out the best robe for his son and he killed the fatted
calf saying: "This son of mine was dead and has came to
life; he was lost and has been found."
We all are the prodigal son. We refuse sometimes the Father's
grace. Let's go back to the Father. Let's hate the sin taking
back the road that leads us to the Father, where we give love
to everyone around us.

Prayer
Lord, show me your mercy and make my heart glad.
I am like the man going to Jericho wounded by robbers:
Good Samaritan, come help me. I am like the sheep
Gone astray: Good shepherd, come seek me and bring me home safe.
Let me dwell in your house all my days and praise you forever.
Amen.
