Sunday of the Man with Leprosy

Readings: Romans 6: 12 - 23 (English & Lebanese):
In this reading to the Romans, St. Paul wants us to conquer the sin in our bodies. He asks us to be strong in our faith so we can receive the grace of the Lord, which is the eternal life in Jesus Christ.

Gospel: Mark, 1: 40 - 45 (English & Lebanese):
In this Gospel Reading, we listen to an impressive dialogue between Jesus and the man with leprosy. Jesus talks to him, touches him, unlike everyone else who avoided this man because of his illness. The only leper we should avoid is sin that takes us far away from our Father.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, you have come to save us from our sins.
You fasted to encourage us to do penance.
You suffered temptation to give us strength.
You were transfigured to give us hope.
You suffered insults to bring us life with you.
You were raised to life to bring us new life.
Christ, you endured the agony in the garden
To strengthen us in prayer, you carried your
Cross to save us, you were nailed to the Cross
To heal our wounds of sin, have mercy on us.
